Local engagement toolkit

What is this toolkit?

This toolkit is a set of resources that can be used online and in-person to facilitate local level conversations about ‘Creating a vision for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc’. It has been designed to help raise awareness of the consultation, which also includes seeking views on the initial work we have done to set the scope of the Sustainability Appraisal, with a wide range of people, including those who live and work in the Arc area.

The slides and facilitator guide in the toolkit will help you to:

  • Clearly explain what the Oxford-Cambridge Arc and the Spatial Framework are;
  • Clearly explain the consultation process;
  • Generate an open discussion about the ‘Creating a vision for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc’ consultation topics and themes; and
  • Signpost attendees to the digital consultation platform where they can submit responses.
Who can use this toolkit?

The toolkit is designed to support groups and individuals in the Arc area who would like to facilitate a local session about the consultation on ‘Creating a vision for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc’, including: local authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships, parish councils, voluntary and community organisations, youth forums, schools, and more.
