Let's imagine a new Shirebrook!Over the past few months, Bolsover District Council, together with our partners at the Future Fox, have been actively engaging with the community with an innovative new form of public consultation, to involve members of the public in planning in a deeper way than a normal survey. The tool aimed to help residents choose what new things should be included in any growth plans, by designing an imaginary part of town, and exploring the trade-offs when doing so. We were overwhelmed by the response and wanted to showcase some of the very best and most interesting entries, so we choose a few of these submissions and transformed them into the 3D flyover which you've seen today. Now we'd like to hear your feedback. As promised during the consultation, we've made a £500 donation to a local charity, BLAST, as voted for by participants of this consultation. BLAST is a local non-profit charity with an aim to improve our local community by bringing people together. |
